Why god does not exist
For this essay and for all others throughout the course, you are responsible for following the MLA general essay guidelines, which can be found at the Purdue OWL website: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/01/ (Times New Roman 12 pt. font, double-spaced, 1 inch margins, page numbers, first page heading, etc.) For this essay, are expected to develop your responses as clearly as possibly in a 3-4 page essay (at least 3 full pages with proper formatting). Be sure to eliminate any unnecessary filler, and directly respond to the questions. Your emphasis on these essays should be on the summary/explanation of your chosen arguments from the readings and the development of your own views. (For a lesson regarding eliminating filler and unnecessary repetition and concision errors – please see Paul Robert’s “How To Say Nothing In 500 Words” in our course content section. Also be sure to avoid unnecessary introductions – I don’t want any unnecessary introductory or historical information about the background of the subjects or your experience with the subjects. Please just directly respond to the questions presented below and be sure to fully develop your responses with analytical thought, support, and evidence.) If you believe that God does not exist (or that you can not know whether God exists ([agnosticism]), how or why might you be confident that God does not exist (or that you should remain agnostic), and what argument from Part 1 (or our additional readings) provides, in your view, the best argument that God does not exist? What argument presents the strongest argument for God’s existence (either from our readings or from outside of our readings), and how might you respond to this opposing argument in defense of your views? What argument/reading from Chapter 2 best helps explain why you consider your views against God’s existence to be a rational belief? Would you consider your views on God to be knowledge, and what argument from 3 best helps to explain why or why not this might be case? *You should summarize and explain the arguments from at least 3 of our readings in the development of your essays. If you have any trouble reaching the required amount of content, you can incorporate other arguments (either from the readings or not, and each chapter also has readings we did not cover that might be helpful) and explain your agreement or disagreement with these arguments to help further develop and clarify your views on the assigned questions.

More depth/information is required for the context and importance, otherwise the study detail will be unclear. There is no search history information supplied. |
83-76 points
There is a review of important theoretical literature, however there is limited integration of research into problem-related ideas. The review is just partly focused and arranged. There is research that both supports and opposes. A summary of the material given is provided. The conclusion may or may not include a biblical integration. |
52-49 points
The content is somewhat ordered, but there is no discernible organization. The use of typeface, color, graphics, effects, and so on may sometimes distract from the presenting substance. It is possible that the length criteria will not be reached. |
