The use of forensic psychology continues to provide law enforcement officials with invaluable information pertaining to the profiling and identification of criminal suspects. However, the field has matured considerably from its nascent stages. After reading the introduction and Chapter 1 in the Bartol & Bartol text in addition to the Snook, Cullen, Bennell, Taylor, & Gendreau (2008) and Kocsis (2003) articles, examine the various changes that have occurred over the years within the field of forensic psychology. In addition, analyze the current educational and training models available in forensic psychology as outlined in Chapter 1 of the Bartol & Bartol text.
Provide answers to the following questions:
In what ways has forensic science grown as a discipline?
What future changes are predicted for the field?
What current educational and training models are available for students interested in working in the field?
Ways of Improving the State of Affairs Within the Organization
Step One: Needs Assessment
Create a needs assessment that you would use to collect feedback from employees regarding the following topics: a) Resistance to change, b) communication issues, and c) crisis management.
Must include at least 5 different questions directly related to each topic
Questions reflect the research/text readings related to the topic
Rating scale is included for ease of data compilation
What is the benefit? What are some of the obstacles that may need to be addressed before a plan can be initiated?
Step Two: Plan of Action
Create a Plan of Action related to addressing the topics (resistance to change, communication issues, and crisis management) and improving the state of affairs within the organization with regards to the three topics above. Provide detailed descriptions of your plan, according to the below structure for each of the three topics and discuss how you will overcome the challenges of resistance to change for each part of the plan.
Your role in the implementation of the comprehensive plan
Achievable, clearly defined targets for the plan, with regards to the topics
Description of the actions, activities, and deliverables for the plan
Timeline explaining when pieces of the plan will be implemented or due
How will you assess the overall success of your plan?
How will you know the plan worked?
Write an essay of 2000 words that addresses each of the required prompts in Steps 1 and 2. Be sure to completely answer all requirements in each prompt. Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper. Make sure to reference five (5) citations using the APA writing style for each reference. Include a cover page and a reference page, which do not count towards the minimal word count.
