You give a number of example of bias on the part of the reports.  As you stated the plagiarism check report is based on the percentage of data that is matched to similar data.  So do you think the results may be misleading if the paper is very short?  In other words, if there are 2 sentences and 1 is copied it would stand to reason the result would be 50%.  While if another student has more content only 1 sentence is copied the result will show lower.

You bring up a very interesting point in the accounting profession, as big data has evolved it has opened up additional services provided by accountants.  As you noted KPMG now does studies on data warehouses to ensure the data is complete and accurate.  That type of service did not exist in the past.  Can you think of any additional areas accountants may branch out to with the increase in the use of big data analysis?
