Research Paper:
It is important to remember that there is a significant difference between a research paper and a report. A research paper involves researching a topic and using the research to derive a conclusion. It must show effort and insight.
Specifications:
The paper should be 10-12 pages in length, Do not include a title page or table of contents.
Organization:
The paper should be organized in a format that could be submitted to a journal for presentation. It should include an abstract, key words, the body, and the bibliography. At least three references from peer-Retrieved journals (e.g., IEEE, ACM, available from the Library) are required. The title, your name, and page number should be at the top of each page.
Format:
One inch margins (top, bottom, sides) Times New Roman or Arial12 point font Double spaced Running head with title, name, and page numbers
Research Topic: Data Synchronization
Abstract / References to Start:
There has always been a need to synchronize data especially due to the increasingly number of people who use different devices to update and manipulate data over the web. It is so inconvenient for one to have to enter the same data every time they use different devices on the network. This led to the development of data synchronization algorithms which enables users to use different devices to manipulate their personal data.
Data synchronization is the process of building consistency between datasets to ensure continuous flow of data between them. To achieve synchronization of data, data synchronization algorithm is used. Data synchronization is achieved in three basic steps. The first step is overriding the second dataset with the first dataset. The second step is overriding the first dataset with the second dataset and the third, which is the last step is where the two dataset exchange with actual data. Implementation of data synchronization is usually done between two devices, especially with different storage capacities. The device with high storage capacity is used as a synchronizing unit. Specialized software are used to perform data synchronization.
This paper focuses on data synchronization algorithms and techniques. It also covers the application of data synchronization in various IT sectors, the Internet of Things (IoT), mobile technology and databases and its importance.

The objective of the paper is to “research” the topic. It is not to do a design.
