Discussion:
Reiterate the research question you’ve selected.
Examine the value of questionnaire design. Which form of the survey will be most useful for your final project? Why?
For the final project, give examples of three questions from your questionnaire (Week 4 Assignment).
Simple demographic inquiries such as “What is your date of birth?” or “Are you male or female?” should not be used as examples. Choose questions that will assist you to elicit information to address your research question (“How frequently do you have mammograms?”).
At least two of your classmates or instructor’s posts must be responded to. Provide feedback to your classmates on the sample questions they’ve provided. Will the answers to these questions aid in answering the research question? If not, give them some ideas for other questions they could ask.
The APA 7th edition format is required for all citations and references. THANK YOU SO MUCH
My signature project is an Epilepsy Research Study Question.
Seizures and convulsions are common among epileptic patients, and they can have a negative impact on their health. What are the societal ramifications of the scenario for someone who has epilepsy?

Is there a link between weekly intake of sweetened beverages and increased BMI among night shift nurses?
A questionnaire’s purpose is to elicit information from your participants without leading them to a biased conclusion. The majority of questionnaires will include some demographic questions. Questions about age, gender, race, and so on. Once the data has been reviewed, these will aid in determining commonalities within specific groups and classes. You can also choose between open-ended and closed-ended questions. Closed-ended queries, such as “Do you have a pet cat?” elicit just a yes or no response.
Open-ended questions, on the other hand, try to generate more free-form responses from participants, such as “If you could have a pet, what animal would it be and why?” To track the basic information about my participants, I’ll start with basic demographic questions in my questionnaire. I’ll then use closed-ended questions to collect data for a comparison of BMI and consumption of naturally sweetened beverages. It would be preferable to stick to closed-ended questions because my study subject is quantitative (Jacobsen, 2017).
If my research focus shifts to figuring out why night shift nurses drink naturally sweetened beverages, I’ll conduct more qualitative research and use open-ended questions. Because the majority of my data will be numerical, the survey will rely heavily on participants’ numerical responses (Jacobsen, 2017). Here are a few examples of the types of questions I intend to ask in my survey:
In a week, how many naturally sweetened beverages do you consume?
In a week, how many artificially sweetened beverages do you consume?
Height at the moment.
Weight right now.
Because most people have no idea what their BMI is, as part of my research, I will ask for their current measures and calculate their BMI on my own. This will reduce the likelihood of volunteers falsifying results. If I had the resources, I would assess their height and weight at the start and end of the study to examine how the findings vary over time. For the sake of time, this will be a more limited study, with the data being used to expand on this topic in the future. I will also use yes/no questions and categorized multiple-choice nominal questions for my demographic data, albeit these will not be included in my samples (Jacobsen, 2017).
Peer number two
A questionnaire is useful because it allows researchers to collect the data they need for their research. Gender, sex, medical issues, and pregnancy are only a few instances (Jacobsen, 2017). These are critical considerations to ask while determining the appropriate inclusions and exclusions for research initiatives. A yes or no questionnaire will be the greatest form of the quiz for my final project. I’ll ask you a series of questions that you must answer in order to be considered for the study.
These will be the questions:
What gender are you? M, F, or Unknown
What is the range of your ages? 18 to 30, 31 to 50, 51 to 70, and 71 and up
Do you have any health issues, such as autoimmune diseases? YES or NO
Please describe any medical issues you have.
Do you have a history of autoimmune disease in your family? YES or NO
Have you ever been told you have periodontal disease type Y or N?
Have you ever had a deep cleaning done on you or been advised you need one? YES or NO
Have you ever had a tooth fall out or get so loose that is required to be extracted? You’re N
When you brush and floss, do your gums bleed a lot? YES or NO
Is there a history of tooth loss, denture wear, or partial wear in your family? YES or NO
When was the last time you had a physical examination? Within the last year, one year ago, two years ago, three years ago, four years ago, five years ago, and more than five years ago
When was the last time you had a dental checkup? Within the last year, one year ago, two years ago, three years ago, four years ago, five years ago, and more than five years ago
