(My Topic- Sami People)
Research Project
This assignment gives you the opportunity to select a topic that interests you, to expand on your knowledge through independent research, and then to demonstrate that knowledge in the form of a report.
You are encouraged but not required to consult with me on your topic.
Note: Your topic must be related to Scandinavian/Norse history, culture, or mythology during the Viking Age. If you choose a topic on modern reception, at least 50% of your paper must be directly about the Viking Age.
Note: You are encouraged to choose a unique topic. Then you will have the ability to be more precise, which will make a better initial impression.
If you wish, you may include analysis of the information (while avoiding unsupported assumptions) as well as just reporting it, but this is not required.
See the assignment rubric for grading criteria.
Here are some topic suggestions. You can choose something from the list, but you are not required to do so. You can mix and match. Or maybe the list will inspire another topic idea for you: Suggested topics for final project.docx Download Suggested topics for final project.docx
