Organizational Culture as a Competitive Advantage
You have been appointed Vice-President of Human Resources in your organization which specializes in transporting the elderly to their appointments due to their inability to drive or take public transportation. Your organization is a new business in this industry and due to the increasing population in the aging baby-boomer demographic, your company decided to enter this market in the city of Philadelphia, PA as its first venture. There are multiple organizations like yours that serve Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs, and as Vice-President of Human Resources, you have been charged with creating an organizational culture that can be utilized as a catalyst to gain a competitive advantage.
For this assignment, you are to create a mission, vision and values statement and then align those statements with key organizational initiatives that make them tangible and measurable. This assignment is to be completed using PowerPoint or a similar format and you are to record your presentation.
Presentation Requirements Length: The presentation is to be comprised of 10-15 Slides with each slide containing bullet points for reference purposes as you record your presentation. Record your presentation using either Canvas Studio or Microsoft PowerPoint and upload. It is not necessary to video yourself while recording your presentation. Please attempt to keep each slide between 30-45 seconds while highlighting the salient points contained in each slide.
Content: The assignment should demonstrate that the student fully understands and can apply the concepts learned in week three and week four (Organizational Culture) and the concepts are integrated into the student’s own insights. The student is to provide concluding remarks that show analysis and synthesis of ideas.
Slide Creation: The presentation is to flow well and logically. Presentation is to reflect extensive use of tools in a creative way.
Slide Transitions: Transitions are to be smooth to enhance the presentation.
Pictures, Background: Images are to pleasing to the eye and appropriate in nature.
Presentation Skills: The presentation is to be well rehearsed without any pronunciation errors or other mistakes.
