Now for each of the two skills/knowledge, create a Behaviorally-Anchored Rating Scale that could be used to evaluate an employee’s performance on that skill/knowledge.  Your scale should include behavioral anchors for 3 levels of performance (poor, average, exceptional). See page 70 and 71 in your textbook for description and example of BARS. The three levels of the behavior indicators should reflect different levels of the SAME set of behaviors (at least 2 behavioral incidents).

I’m working on a communications discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Communication helps us express our ideas and better understand others. In fact, delivering clear messages through oral and written communication are critical aspects of our daily lives.

Select one of the areas below and thoroughly explain why effective communication is important in that area. Include 2 – 3 examples from your own experience.

I love this question especially

I have a problem speaking, but love to talk. I do. when I can text it and not speck it LOL. I can talk, and I can go on and on. But when I have to be put on a spot I do not do well. When in front of people I freeze, because I may stumble over my words because I’m not a good speaker. Not a good reader or writer but loves to read. I believe communication is a must in a relationship, I know that we all have trouble with this. Because I did too, now I do love to talk, BUT!!! some times I don’t and I do something like writing a note leave it on the mirror, or door, or on the fridge, or in the car or in a lunch box.

That’s communication Unless you have had a spouse like mines for 42 years, he does not let anything go under the sun. Just think how many conversations we have had, and just think about what our 6 boys and 1 girl had to listen to. And now our 23 grandchildren and 4 foster children. They will say Mama daddy says he wants to talk to us, and we all be like ooookkkk, well everybody has sent a group text. WARNING !!! Daddy wants to have a meeting to communicate that will turn into a sermon(no he’s not a preacher) but everybody thinks he is. My husband blesses his heart and does not sugarcoat anything. he says what’s on his mind. He says If I step on your toes I’m sorry I was trying to step on your heart.

I think communication is very effective because for you to know what, how, and when on a job, school and even a relationship how a person is felling are what to do or not to do, you have to have that communication, communication is a key to open up relationships in so many areas in our lives.

You know we are blessed, we can communicate in so many ways. We all have our own way of communication. We must respect each other’s way of thinking as well as communicating, not to get all upset. We have to give respect to get respect. As my wise old granddaddy use to say “I have feelings just like you”. Communication is needed in a respectful way, and time. I pray that we all can help each other, we are all in this together. You all be blessed and safe
