Maintainability (this is the system performance that the response should be about)
As a system requirement, maintainability is the ease in which a system can be corrected, maintained and updated (Microsoft, 2009). Particularly, the higher the probability of performing successful repairs to a system within a given time the better the system is perceived to be.
There are instances in which systems usually go down and require repair for them to continue functioning properly. As such, any user of the system requires that the system be restored to operational status easily and faster so as to continue working on what they have been working on. For instance, there are some systems that usually require updates every 24 hours. These updates are always meant to make sure that the system functions properly and is up to date (Dubey, & Rana, 2011).
Such updates affect the users in several ways since during the period in which the updates are running, a user may not be able to use the system. While these updates affect the users, it is usually the responsibility of the IT personnel to determine whether the process used accommodates the needed changes and whether the updates are timely not to affect the users so much.
Maintainability will be vital to the MTC Hiring System since it ensures that the system works well throughout. Further, maintainability implies that the system will be reliable and will have a smaller number of failures (Chen et al, 2017). A system with good maintainability will also ensure that the system will work for a long period therefore the company will not be required to source for another system every now and again. Also, the company will also save from hiring consultants to come and maintain the system as the system will be easily maintained with the IT personnel around.
