Jim Taylor is a 68-year-old man with motor neurone disease, diagnosed eight years ago. Prior to his diagnosis, Jim smoked 10 cigarettes a day from the age of 16. Jim had previously been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at the age of 54.
