A Brief Description of the Project
The project is aimed at instill positive behavior that can enhance the wellness of the American youths residing within the scope of the Taylor Public Health Institute’s coverage. Young Americans are being influenced into indulging in alcohol taking, prescription opioid misuse, marijuana, e-cigarettes, tobacco, unhealthy eating, uncontrolled stress, physical inactivity, and lack of sleep. According to the preliminary investigation that Taylor Public Health Institute did, it was established that more than half of the youths in the whole of the United States are at a risk of engaging in dangerous behaviors. These risks are likely to cause social problems, illness, injury, and hindering the youth’s positive development.
To enable alleviate this issue and potential health hazards and diseases, the use of evidence-based programs is required. The aim is to rollout prevention programs that will ensure wellness among the youths. At Taylor Public Health Institute, the goal is to avoid disasters, injuries, promote health, and prevent diseases. To achieve this, Taylor Public Health Institute embraces values whose pillars are people, excellence, innovation, science, and partnership. The five values enable Taylor Public Health Institute to develop evidence-based programs after intensive research. Taylor Public Health Institute treats its partners, clients, customers, and professional colleagues with respect.
To achieve excellence, Taylor Public Health Institute is committed to responsive performance, accountability, and transparency. To achieve common goals, partnership pitting internal and external players jointly engage in major problem solving. The institute embraces innovations to come up with progressive solutions, which are the basis of evidence-based solutions. Based on the background of the behavior issues that needs addressing among the youths, Taylor Public Health Institute has an elaborate program that will solve all the highlighted issues to enable bring up youths with positive development. A program that will teach youths to remain positive in life and avoid drug abuse will be rolled out. In the program, the youths will be encouraged to eat healthy, how to engage in physical activity, controlling stress and taking enough sleep. The program is customized to solve the specific current youth issues. Since Taylor Public Health Institute cannot cater for the expenses involved, the management is appealing for financial help.
