LITERATURE REVIEW
A literature review is both a summary and explanation of the complete and current state of knowledge on a limited topic that can be found in academic books and journal articles. For this course, you will prepare a literature reviewed aimed at the project you are working on with your community partner. The literature review should include themes and topics that you are looking to address throughout the semester. You will also review a peer’s paper.
THESE ARE THE TOPIC SHOULD BE DISCUSS:
In my literature review I plan to talk about mental health in the U.S. Mental health is extremely important now in todays society than it has ever been. Research questions I plan to ask consist of questions regarding age, race, social status, background status, childhood history and many other topics that all play a role in mental health. The themes consist of mental health institutions for my minors compared to mental institutions for adults as well as the statistics on mental health between the two. These themes and questions will allow me to gain a better understanding of mental health amongst the different age groups and races & help understand the difference on how the mental health of minors compared to adults affects their lifestyle and how the youth may deal with their mental health issues going into adulthood.
