London Social and Innovation Green Analysis Report
Innovation Analysis Report (2000 words) consists of an individual report applying innovation theories studied in the module to assess the social and green innovative solution developed in the group project during the semester.
If you did not participate in any group project during the semester, you must develop the report based on the following fictional case study:
Challenge: Poor levels of social inclusion of young ex-convicts, increasing the risk of reoffences.
Context: North of the UK (Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool) – you can focus only on one city.
Innovative solution: FlowersBlossomUK is a social enterprise that trains young horticulturalists who are recruited from the juvenile justice system and together, they are changing the North of the UK’s landscape. The social enterprise uses empty lots in cities to transform them into gardens where the young ex-convicts can learn, practice and grow their flowers. The flowers get sold to local stores, restaurants and businesses. There is potentially social, economic and environmental value created with their work.
In the report, the student should analyse the potential impact and diffusion of the innovation in society, the business model to implement the innovation, and the organisational / regional / global conditions that may influence the innovation. The report assesses the learning outcomes 3 and 4.
