leadership development
Please respond to the Discussion post using at least two references to support your claim.
We all look for or want to strive to have leadership within us. When a company lacks leadership, there are many issues that an organization will face. Leadership can be shown in many ways, whether that be through encouraging words, providing resources, or actions (Britt, 2014, p. 372). A leader is essential to any organization because everyone looks to them. They are the ones leading the way while encouraging and motivating their employees (Britt, 2014, p. 374). When there is a lack of leadership in a company, employees will feel lost and undervalued, which will result in massive amounts of turnover and a decrease in employee satisfaction. A leader is also influential because everyone in the company needs to ensure that policy is followed and understood (Britt, 2014, p. 374). If no one is helping to understand what policy needs to be seen through, then chaos will ensue. When thinking about a leadership development program, one might start by identifying certain employees who have shown their leadership in different ways. When that has been done, a leadership program will help these young leaders identify which kind of leader they are and how they can grow in the areas where they are not strong. No leader will be perfect, and there are areas in which they will be weaker than others. Once strengths and weaknesses are identified, different classes and activities will be given to the individuals to help grow them in both their strengths and weaknesses. Identifying those weaknesses and learning how to complement them so that they grow and change for the better is essential. This will continue to create exceptional leaders from within your organization’s ranks who want to stay in your company and create a better workplace.
Being a leader can mean taking charge or stepping up when someone is needed. In the Lord’s eyes, it means being servant-hearted. The best kind of leader is the one who puts others before them and wants to help push others up. “It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant” (English Standard Version, 2001/2019, Matthew 20:26). Many times, we think that a leader means being the best, and we let pride get in the way. When that is the case, we are no longer good leaders. We are letting our egos get in the way. Looking more like Christ, the ultimate leader will help us become better leaders.

There is a review of important theoretical literature, however there is limited integration of research into problem-related ideas. The review is just partly focused and arranged. There is research that both supports and opposes. A summary of the material given is provided. The conclusion may or may not include a biblical integration. |
52-49 points
The content is somewhat ordered, but there is no discernible organization. The use of typeface, color, graphics, effects, and so on may sometimes distract from the presenting substance. It is possible that the length criteria will not be reached. |
