Theme 1: Knowledge Sharing and Communities of Practice
Knowledge and their evolution into an organization is a social phenomenon. This week we will discuss the ways an organization shares knowledge or learns information an its implications in the KM cycle.
Organizational learning is the way a group creates new knowledge to improve its effectiveness. Brown and Duguid (1991) describe organizational learning as “the bridge between working and innovating.” The thought being that learning is linked to action and hopefully useful improvement.
