INTRODUCTION
The death of Jesus was crucial to mankind as it led to the forgiveness of their sins. God chose Jesus to redeem human beings from sin. This paper explains the purpose of the death of Jesus and its meaning as stated in various books such as Luke and Acts. It also outlines the insights that could be meaningful to our context today.
How the death of Jesus connects to the larger themes of creation, fall, and Redemption within the overarching story of the Bible?
The topic chosen was the death of Jesus Christ. This connects to the themes of creation, fall, and redemption in that it explains the purpose of the death of Jesus Christ to save man from sin. Jesus Christ was willing to die for the sins of human beings. God also sent him to save man knowing that he was the only son. The topic mostly connects with the theme of the redemption of man. For God to forgive man, there had to be sacrificed to be made. “The law requires that nearly everything is cleansed with blood, without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:12). The Ancient Israelites used to sacrifice animals for forgiveness. God also decided to sacrifice Jesus to redeem his people. Human beings had sinned against God and he had to send someone to heal them.
The physical death of Jesus Christ was a price for the sins that had been committed by human beings. Human beings could enjoy a good relationship with God again. “And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Rosenberg, 2018). Although God had given the covenant to his people through Moses, they had not adhered to it. They broke the laws multiple times, and God was fed up with them.
Jesus was the mediator between mankind and God. For human beings to be forgiven, they had to pass through him. “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). This also shows his love for mankind as he decided to die for their sins. The fact that Jesus died for mankind shows that human beings were God’s creation, but they had fallen out of his favor because of their sins (Collins, 2018).
What is important to know about the history, culture, and/or theology surrounding this concept
The most important thing to know about the history of the death of Jesus is that it occurred he was crucified, taken to the tomb and later he resurrected. Jesus resurrected and ascended to heaven after three days. His death and resurrection were very significant since it made many people believe that he was the son of God. The disciples also believed the words and remembered the advice they were being given by Jesus when they found out that he had resurrected (Edwards et al, 2016).
Another important thing to know is that God knew that Jesus would die, and this was the reason he had sent him to earth. Jesus also knew that he would die and predicted his death severally. His death, therefore, occurred “with the foreknowledge of God, according to a definite plan” (Acts 2:23).
Original meaning within Luke/Acts
The original meaning of this concept within Luke is that it served the purpose of blessing the sinners and the poor. Luke argues that Jesus had come for the sinners, therefore, he would die for them. While at the cross, Jesus said a word of prayer on behalf of his tormentors so that they can be forgiven by God. According to the book of Acts, the death of Jesus had been planned and those who killed him were only fulfilling it. “His enemies did only what God’s own ‘power and will have decided beforehand should happen'” (Acts 4:28).
Insights gained
Some of the insights gained are that we are our first sin and were cleansed by the blood of Jesus. This was the sin that was committed by our forefathers. We also understand that Jesus died for our sins, therefore, we should not sin against God again. We should adhere to God’s rules and always be obedient to him.
Conclusion
It was God’s love for the world that made him sacrifice Jesus for mankind to ensure that he would be redeemed. Human beings would have perished if it were not for the death of Jesus since it acted as a sacrifice and for redemption.

Assignment:
Please complete ALL THREE of the exercises.
During rounds Charles encounters a rare condition he has never personally seen, and only vaguely remembers hearing about in nursing school. He takes a few moments to prepare himself by searching the Internet. That evening, he researches even further to treat, administer, and assess the patient safely. He searches clinical databases online and his own school textbooks. Most of the information seems consistent, yet some factors vary. Charles wants to provide the highest quality in patient safety.
