Directions

Based on provided scenarios, teams will be accountable for developing and submitting a solution approach with spreadsheet analysis and recommendations for management.

The PM should submit the deliverable on behalf of the team.

It is expected that the quality of the product will be consistent with that expected of industry professionals. Special attention should be given to the quality and accuracy of the content; the layout of the content; and ensuring the topics flow logically throughout the document.

All components of the assignment must be explicitly addressed. The teams SHOULD NOT use a question & answer format.

The document should be prepared as a practical business deliverable (single-spaced). The title page should appear as a cover of a business deliverable. The in-text citations and the list of references must adhere to the APA writing style (7th ed.).

Where necessary, use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to perform financial calculations.

Project

The CEO of your organization asked you to analyze the effect of changing from fee-for-service to value-based purchasing.  He shared with the board the reason for this change, and they understand that it is a requirement of the ACA and mandated for healthcare organizations.

You are tasked with reviewing the effect this change could have on employees and staff.  At this time, staffing and retention is a major problem in health care and the board is concerned that the change will exacerbate the problem based on the staff perceptions and could create negative attitudes.

Describe any potential group dynamics that could occur in the organization based on the attitudes and perceptions. Use theory to support your evaluation. Identify the kind of conflicts that could occur while making this change within the organization and how it could be handled.

Address the memo to the CEO with your analysis and recommendations to mitigate any negative organizational behavior. Support your analysis and recommendations with theory from the literature
