1st student:
Good day, Class!
The Long Term Care Ombudsman, located in Northern Virginia outside of Washington, DC, is the facility I’ve chosen to discuss. It is the most reputable long-term care institution in Northern Virginia (Fairfax, Arlington, Loudon, and Alexandria) and is located in high-end areas. Former high-ranking government or corporate officials from Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland are cared for at this institution, which is one of the best LTCs in the country.
Our mission is to deliver great care to those who have cared for us.
Vision: Changing the way long-term care is delivered across the country via innovation.
Professionalism, excellence, teamwork, and dedication are core values.
Assistance with finances. The facility’s policy is to provide a financial assessment to uninsured or underinsured patients who are seeking financial assistance. Patients who are uninsured are interviewed for a possible funding source, which could include federal, state, county, and/or charity care. The hospital uses the Federal Poverty Guidelines to determine whether patients are eligible for assistance. Patients who are potentially eligible for charity care and live in Northern Virginia must complete an interview and sign an application for the facility’s charity care and grant programs.
The following factors influence a patient’s financial benefits and classification:
Evidence of the patient’s residency in the county, as well as his or her citizenship status.
Please provide proof of your family’s size.
To determine eligibility under the Federal Poverty Guidelines, provide documentation of household gross income.
A sliding charge structure based on income and current Federal Poverty Guidelines up to 300 percent is used to make the determination.
Marketing. Marketing is the way to generate the possibility as the facility strives to stay ahead of the competition and remain at the forefront in delivering long-term care to the people of Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. It is a collection of processes and an organizational function for producing, communicating, and delivering value to customers, as well as maintaining customer relationships in ways that benefit the company and its stakeholders. Product, pricing, place, and promotion, also known as the 4-Ps, help to facilitate the market process.
Product. The facility provides short and long-term services to residents that go beyond their fundamental needs, such as nursing care in various units, rehabilitation, dietary services, and clinical support services such as laboratory, x-rays, physical therapy, and pharmacy.
Pricing. The cost of long-term care at this facility is determined by a number of factors. The type of room and board services that the resident wants, as well as the level of help that the patient needs. The typical monthly cost of a room at this facility is roughly $10,000, with an annual cost of around $100,000.
Promotion. Flyers, newspaper advertisements, local radio, and television commercials are used to target retirement-eligible government and corporate officials who live in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Place. Fairfax, Alexandria, Loudon, and Arlington are the four cities in Northern Virginia where the facility is located. According to the website, almost 75% of the people who lived in these facilities were DMV citizens (Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia).
Bingo, field trips, on-site entertainment, and group outings are among the activities that the patients enjoy.

Student number two:
Hello, Class.
Good Samaritan Health Care Center, A Regency Pacific Community is the long-term care facility that I choose, and it is located in Yakima, Washington. The Good Samaritan Health Care Center provides long-term care and skilled nursing services. They cater to each person’s unique requirements.
Relationships, empower, service, passion, embrace, community, and trust are among their culture and values that they try to exceed. They think that the best care is provided by developing strong relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare providers. They are enabled and encouraged to explore for new and inventive methods to improve their services and care for their residents on a continual basis. They strive for excellence in service by fostering an environment that benefits their residents, families, and workers. They are dedicated to providing the highest level of patient-centered care and services to the community members they serve. They seize every opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives while also emphasizing the necessity of collaborating and forming bonds with the community. They make sure that developing healthy, effective connections with residents, families, employees, and communities starts with trust.
Nursing, dietary, social services, therapy, and therapeutic recreation are among their offerings, which also include memory care, retirement/independent living, assisted living, respite care, and short-term recovery units with private or semi-private rooms. Residents can take advantage of a variety of amenities to make their stay as pleasant as possible.
They are Medicare and Medicaid qualified, accept private pay, and work with some insurance companies and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs). There is no pricing given for this facility, however, an article by Writer (2020) claims that there are several factors that influence the cost of nursing home care. The provider you choose for your loved one, as well as any particular considerations you choose, are two of these criteria. Some facilities charge extra for services that aren’t included in the standard housekeeping, meal, or lodging costs. Fees for memory care, speech therapy, physical therapy, and other services could be included in these costs. The majority of the facilities are all-inclusive. Families should look for reviews on nursing homes as well as any concerns made by former residents while investigating average nursing home prices. They’ll be able to identify good nursing homes at reasonable prices this way.
The lovely Yakima Valley in Washington State is home to Good Samaritan. Local hospitals and medical clinics are only a few minutes away.
This organization uses a variety of promotional methods, including images of the facility and smiling elderly individuals being assisted and greeted by healthcare personnel.
On average, between 5% to 20% of the budget should be allocated to marketing, while committing to more can be crucial in developing a successful marketing strategy. Social media would be an excellent approach to increase the efficacy of your message while also conserving money. For people conducting research and requiring precise information about a specific facility, commercials and websites are incredibly useful.
