Scenario for this assignment: good news! The powers that be have agreed that your goal is important, and they are willing to fund your proposal to get started. Bad news! There is no new money in the budget so they have asked for your help on figuring what existing costs can be eliminated.
In this exercise, you will need to identify what can be cut so that your idea can be funded. This can be a position, a program, supplies, etc. – it’s up to you to suggest.
Once you decide on what you think can be eliminated, you will need to do through an assessment as to what the pros and cons of eliminating it would be for each of the major stakeholder groups. You will also need to create action steps as to how you plan to execute the elimination, along with potential obstacles and support.
What was the total amount needed (not including in-kind, etc.) in your positive budget creation exercise?
Thinking about the budget this amount would be added to (school, district or state), what is something that you think could be eliminated in the same budget that would cost the same amount? Please describe in detail (at least 4 sentences).
In order to understand what this elimination may effect, attempt to describe the pros and cons to each stakeholder group below (2-3 sentences each minimum).

Implementation
What are the action steps you would need to take to effectively conduct this elimination?
Order these by priority or by their due date.
While you haven’t yet begun to implement the elimination of the program/staff/etc. and the action steps, what obstacles do you anticipate may come up and what support would you need to overcome them?
