For your post, you should discuss in detail how the film reflects (or does not reflect) your readings about social correlates of crime. In doing so, consider all of our readings on correlates but also think back to the Musto and Gusfield piece you read during week 2 as you may be able to make some connections about how the use of performance enhancing drugs (i.e., steroids, beta blockers) are symbolic of some social factors or structural issues.

Helping a Client Discussion
Today is your first meeting with Amanda, a female teenage client. Her parents referred her to your agency for skill-building, specifically communication and coping skills. She is an only child and her parents are divorced, which reminds you a lot of your family situation when you were growing up. Amanda is fairly shut down in your first meeting, unwilling to engage in much conversation or even the ice breaker activities that you put together. When you ask her why she doesn’t want to work with you, she says that no one understands what she is going through.
