POST1 – Charan
A company is said to be Eco-friendly when it is taking certain measures to use resources efficiently to minimize its effect on the environment which helps the environment and organization in many ways. Eco-friendly organizations are more sustainable as the advantages include reduced costs, developing employee morale, increase in reputation, and gaining customer loyalty(LaMarco, 2019). Environmental advantages of being eco-friendly include reduced pollution, conservation of natural resources, reduces consumption of resources, helps in elimination of waste, and also in maintaining ecological balance(McCloy, 2018). The competitive advantages of being eco-friendly include reduced costs, tax incentives, innovative market opportunities, and also includes improved employee morale, generates profits, and boosts the company’s reputation.
An eco-friendly organization can reduce its costs mostly energy-related which is the main concern for the manufactures that can be done by using energy-efficient equipment and machinery. Implementing strategies such as reducing, reusing, recycling, and going paperless can save supply costs(Brian Lagas, 2015). An eco-friendly organization gains financial benefits from the government in the form of grants. Being eco-friendly increases the profits as it gains customer loyalty which results in increased sales and also attracts more investors or clients to get associated with them(Simon Elarba, 2020). An organization can have employee-related benefits which include enhancement of employee morale, performance, and commitment as employees are prouder of their organization and many young professionals are considering eco-friendly organizations while searching for jobs that will obviously have a higher reputation. It also helps in the expansion of the organization as community members engage actively in discussions and also media portraits the organization as environmentally friendly (Collins, 2018).

Sustainability promotes a better economy where there is little waste and pollution, fewer emissions, more jobs, and a better distribution of wealth. Sustainable competitive advantages are company assets, attributes, or abilities that are difficult to duplicate or exceed and provide a superior or favorable long-term position over competitors (Noel. S, 2019). A sustainable competitive advantage is one that competitors cannot copy in the immediate future. A sustainable competitive advantage occurs when the company takes advantage of temporary periods of optimal fit between the key requirements of a market and the particular capabilities of a company competing in that market.
Clean air and water, sanitation and green spaces, safe workplaces can enhance people’s quality of life reduce mortality and morbidity, healthier lifestyles, improve the productivity of workers and their families, improve lives of women, children, and the elderly, and are crucial to mental health (Elarba, J. S. 2020). The natural environment gives us a wealth of services that are difficult to measure in dollars. Natural areas help clean our air, purify our water, produce food and medicines, reduce chemical and noise pollution, slow floodwaters, and cool our streets.

Being eco-friendly is very important as more and more people look into it as a way of being. By being eco-friendly can help to save the earth from becoming polluted, which may result in the environment becoming unhealthy and people not being able to survive. Eco-friendly products help to conserve energy and also prevent air, water, and noise pollution. They prove to be a boon for the environment and also prevent human health from deteriorating. Being eco-friendly is a huge challenge and is also getting easier these days. There are a lot of solutions being offered to provide one step at a time. One of the simplest things people can do to get themselves more eco-friendly is to shop at local markets. This could be a local farmers’ market, a co-op store, or a store that only sources products that are either locally grown or at least sustainably harvested. These are easy ways to provide for the environment (Srivatsav et al., 2020).
Eco-friendly products are cheaper in price than the competitors. Eco-friendly products are long-lasting in use and help in decreasing the usage of non-renewable resources. Eco-friendly products are produced in natural resources which help to preserve and prevent pollution. The environment doesn’t suffer during the manufacturing of eco-friendly products. No chemicals or no chemicals-free products are used in their manufacturing. Eco-friendly products are made from natural materials which is good for the environment and also good for human health. Eco-friendly products help to save money, and if we make a purchase in eco-friendly products, then it helps to reduce the purchase in non-eco-friendly products. Eco-friendly products help to promote green living.
It is important to know that the more practice sustainability in daily life, the easier it will be for to have a clean and healthy environment for and for future generations. The government is working on improving the environmental standards as more and more people want to practice sustainability. Incorporating a green lifestyle can be a huge challenge. One way to go about it is to start with the products we use on a daily basis. Many of the products that are currently sold, are either harmful or not even eco-friendly (Panno et al., 2020).
