Several years ago when I was a Program Director at a radio station I started working with commercial clients. One client that comes to mind is Pepe’s Cart Land which unfortunately is no longer in business. They were located in the San Fernando Valley off of Roscoe Blvd. and Balboa. It was a go cart racing place for adults and kids. I was fortunate enough to be the advertising representative, the commercial writer, and the voice talent who endorsed the commercial. I absolutely loved the place. There’s nothing better than getting behind the wheel and racing to reduce stress. Needless to say, it all came together quite easily.
If you had sixty seconds of air time on the radio and you had to write the perfect commercial, what would the product be? How would you go about writing, voicing, and producing it? Explain in detail.
