Core CO 4 –Aviation Management
The analysis might discover that GA has a significant impact on the aviation industry. Therefore, this will imply that GA is crucial to the U.S and can help to improve economic development (Cederholm, 2014). Moreover, GA can help improve world trade activity. It will ensure that there is effective movement of passengers to different destinations. I would also conclude that the sector can be a significant contributor to reduce unemployment in the U.S.
The assertion implies that GA will be the driving force behind the forecasted 105 million jobs in the year 2034 (Cederholm, 2014). Tourism and international trade will also grow due to the expansion in the GA sector. However, the analysis of this study might indicate the power of the GA could make in the SA aviation industry as long as it has an impact in U.S aviation industry.
The inferences are very applicable in Saudi Arabia which have implemented privatization strategies. The Saudi National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020 can ensure that the developing country invests a lot on GA (Alshammary, 2017). The nation has already experienced economic expansion resulting from civil aviation. Therefore, the policymakers should implement civil aviation infrastructure targeting GA activity (Baghdadi & Kishk, 2015). Due to that, the CO4 will address the proper strategies and plans that could strongly activate this sector in SA by using Aviation Management principles and U.S systems.
Since SA is new to this sector, it has to build up appropriate plans of implementing a critical and significant part of aviation. Those kinds of projects usually need a long time until it places its benefits. Therefore, I will use CO4 to propose a plan of the implementation process needed in order to start this sector in SA. The plan starts with a process that determines what we want from the GA in SA in the next 30 years by setting a target business plan. After that we can determine the market needs of airports, ATCs, airplanes, pilots, mechanics, locations, operators that the SA will need to as a start. Nevertheless, since the NTP also supports partnership with the international organizations, the plan will explain how GA airports would be operated whether privatized or not. Most of the partnership should be contracted with firms that are investing in GA operations (Alshammary, 2017).
Therefore, the plan will study what is more beneficial for SA of whether privatize the GA or not and if not, how it would be funded and managed. Nevertheless, the plan will establish an expanding process for the ATC needed of the GA airports and how it would be occupied since the commercial sector of aviation suffers from the lack of dispatchers. Moreover, the project will need to get a number of GA airplane from foreign countries since there is no airplanes manufacturing companies in SA. If the GA have made a tangible success in SA, that would attract the big companies around the world in the near future to start thinking in investing in SA by opening a manufacture industry and selling GA airplanes to the neighbor countries.
Also, the plan will illustrate the number of required pilots, mechanics, pilots and safety instructors that serve the business plan of GA. Finally, the plan will allocate the number of students to be recruited in many aviation sectors, and those students must be dedicated only for GA such as pilots, mechanics, aviation management, and aviation safety and security. That plan would help operating, running the GA activities in high standers, and promoting for a promising future of GA in SA. Consequently, the country would be more confident and able to rely on itself of building flight schools.
