Introduction:
Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday in United States. Every year this day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. It was historically a religion observation to giving thanks to almighty God. This day is about feeling of the good things that we have in our life. This day is considered one of the major days of the year and people celebrate this day with family and friends. On this occasion people give gifts to their near and dear
Nike:
Nike is an American multinational cooperation and it is engaged in worldwide marketing and sales of footwear, equipment and services. It is the world’s largest supplier of athletic shoes, apparel and sports equipment.
The first impression about Nike was good because they opened at 2 A.M as the sales started from 12 A.M. on Friday. On visiting the store I found them a decision validator as I was seeing some people buy gifts for their loved ones. Sometimes they didn’t know the category and price of the products so they used their own experience from other customers and told them that this choice is the smart one.
On buying shoes there are so many options that the customers are confused which one they should buy so I found them a choice navigator and they were improving customers’ choice and they told me about pros and cons of the products that which one suits me best on which occasion. When I saw the sports equipment, I found the salesman a need identifier and they were so skillful and helpful for the customers to uncover and unfelt the needs. Even they asked me about my talent and advised me according to that. While seeing the things I was curious to ask the salesman about the design of the shoes and also the design of the sports equipment. I was shocked at that time because their salesman knew about the design of the shoes and they told me very useful things which I should considered while buying the shoes.
On Thanksgiving Day there was so much crowd that no salesman was there to handle the crowd, even some of the people broke the lines and some of the customers were behaving unethically. I found that it was the brand mistake not to hire the staff that controlled the crowd.
Also the salesmen were too busy with addressing the people that I could not find some of the products on the shelf and there were the bundles of the products that I couldn’t search the right one so in order to overcome this difficulty Nike should hire some people and assign them their duty to arrange the products on their position properly so that the customers wouldn’t find any difficulty while seeing them.
Best Buy:
Best buy is a technology products, services and solutions provider company. This company offers services and products to their customers by visiting their stores or by using their website and mobile applications. This company offers six categories like consumer electronics, computing and mobiles, entertainment, appliance and services. These are the basic needs of everyone living in U.S.A. According to my hobbies I love to play games listening to the best music in the world and also I am curious about mobile technology.
On visiting the store, I first went to mobile rack where different types of mobiles were displayed. But there I saw a new company mobile so I asked the salesman about the mobiles’ camera specifications, battery timing and about the processor. There are so many people in the store but best buy manages it very properly and they increased their staff so by this I easily got my turn.
Despite of working there day and night, the salesmen behave very nicely and they answer many of the questions I asked. Then I went to the games hardware and software rack and I was confused by seeing the categories and prices, some products are in my range but some are not so I couldn’t make a decision about it so I nicely asked the salesman about advice that which suits best for my desktop.
This salesman knew everything about games hardware and software and computing system and finally I was able to get the best product for my desktop. When I saw the products, I liked their decoration and their style of displaying the products that attract their customers to at least see the things that they have.
The behavior of the salesmen at the store was good that I didn’t find any mistake by judging them but few of them didn’t know about the things that are displayed on the rack so before going to their specified area they must know about specifications of products because of this customer will not be confused on taking decision. The salesmen were attractive but the thing that was missing that they were not engaging with the kids and also the kids who were coming with their families. So best buy should teach their staff how to behave cool with kids.
Premier Toyota of Amherst:
Premier Toyota of Amherst is a Toyota car brand. It has a very large variety of vehicles on new cars inventory and many certified pre-owned vehicles.
On entry, the view was very elegant. The marble flooring along with the glass windows, and then a lot of beautiful cars made it very attractive. Considering cars are expensive, it was expected that a salesperson would greet me on entry. They asked about my day and what I was looking for in a car. I didn’t have a particular car in mind, and so the salesperson assisted me by asking a few questions regarding my car usage. They then recommended me two of their vehicles and told me about their features. They also allowed me to take a test drive, but I declined. I saw many more puzzled customers and it was nice to see that these salespersons were extremely nice and welcoming to everyone.
But it did seem like they were being more attentive towards the customers who looked wealthy. Those customers were given a place to sit and also got some refreshments which I found to be a little discriminating. The manager even popped out to welcome these particular customers. The salespersons looked like to be in a race of who would get to the wealthy customers first since each customer had only one salesperson.
Upon leaving, the salesperson seemed to be annoyed as if I had wasted their time. Their personality changed at once when they realized that a particular customer won’t be buying any cars today. It was extremely negative in my point of view. It really made me not want to come here again.
Conclusion:
The salespersons were very nice and welcoming in all three of the locations. They gave their respective companies a very good public rep. They were also very helpful in giving advice to whoever was confused about what to get. They were all very well informed about their own products. One negative thing that I noticed was that they only approached the customers who seemed like they would definitely buy something from their store. These people are paid according to the sales they make so it was understandable why they were all like this.
