Background Information and Project Rationale
The purpose of this event is to express gratitude to the board members and donors for their tireless work and support that have allowed our organization to continue to exist for more than a century. This festival also honors the museum’s 100 years as a significant local fixture. Previous Project Lessons
LESSON
(what was learned from the previous project) |
PROJECT ACTION
(how will this information be used to better this project) |
Museum party can hold up to 400 people | information from the City or local businesses to see if overflow may be handled |
Parking – valet was overworked | Make sure the caterers have enough staff to manage the expected number of guests by checking their personnel count and asking for references from previous large events.
|
Parking – not enough parking | Make sure there are enough parking alternatives, particularly for a public event. |
Caterer was not equipped for party size | If volunteers are unable to come, there should be enough paid staff on hand to help with the celebration. |
Too few bartenders | Increase the number of bartenders and maintain various locations to handle the demand. |
Relied on volunteers | Ensure that occurs. |
Table/ Chair rental | Request delivery in advance to provide enough setup time. |
Coat / umbrella check | Ensure that occurs. |
Seated Dinners were too difficult | Small meals and a buffet are preferable options. |
