Week 1: Discussion
In your own words, what is the difference between a flow chart, a pseudocode, and a program? Why does a programmer need to know all three of them?
You are required to make at least two comments on the responses posted by your classmates with a minimum of 50 words. Make sure you design your response with your own words.
Your responses to your classmates must be of substance; not just “I agree” or “Good Post.” The purpose of the responses is to convert the discussion forum into a quality academic environment through which you improve your knowledge and understanding.
Read and review all assigned course materials and chapters before you start working on your assignments.
RTV 3511 The Production Process Discussion
Throughout the semester, we’ve learned about the stages of the production process: pre-production, production and, to a lesser extent, post production. I’d like you to discuss, which phase of the process you find the most interesting, and if you were to do a job in that phase, what would you want to do.
Step 1: Identify the stage of the production process that interests you the most. Describe what aspects of that stage you think are interesting.
Step 2: Identify a job/position associated with that production stage and describe what aspects of that job are most interesting to you.
Step 3: Use that job title to search for a job advertisement/listing for that kind of position and list three qualifications that are listed for that position. Include a link to the job posting as well.
Step 4: Post your descriptions and job listing link.
Step 5: Reply to a classmate and feel free to discuss similarities and/or differences between jobs and qualifications, etc:
Step 1: Identify the stage of the production process that interests you the most. Describe what aspects of that stage you think are interesting.
– Two of the stages I found most interesting is Production and postproduction stages. If I had to choose one, I think I would thrive in the production part of the process. Parts I think I would thrive in is assisting in production needs. Like photography, wardrobe and general operations.
Step 2: Identify a job/position associated with that production stage and describe what aspects of that job are most interesting to you.
– A production assistant is like what I do now being that I am a social media assistant. Running errands, tasking, and handling important documents is something that I do well and efficiently as well as assisting directors and producers creatively. Being that assistants are vital parts to production and being a part of a huge creative team is significant to the entire project. It’s valuable to have creative minds on set to assist with all aspects of production.
Step 3: Use that job title to search for a job advertisement/listing for that kind of position and list three qualifications that are listed for that position. Include a link to the job posting as well.
– A production assistant listing I found was for a local production company in Orlando. Previous production assistant experience is needed in film, television, or in other media departments. A as a very flexible schedule is needed along with superb communication skills and attention to creative detail.
